The Diamond industry is one of Israel's leading export industries, with the Israeli Diamond Burse the largest and most prominent diamond trade center in the world.
Israel imports approx. 5 Billion Dollars' worth of raw [unpolished] diamonds annually, comprising approx. 40% of the sum total worth of unpolished diamonds produced in the world!
Israel's diamond export value stands at approx. 10 Billion Dollars a year, of which approx. 7 Billion dollars' worth are polished diamonds.

1. Introduction
Capital Declaration is a statement that includes full details on the tax-payer’s assets and undertakings for a given date. The purpose of the capital declaration is to check the taxpayer’s sources for the assets in his possession. As a routine procedure, capital declarations are used as a tool to reach conclusions regarding substantial income concealment by Israeli resident taxpayers. Capital declarations are presented to the income tax assessor by those taxpayers who are required to do so.
